A Brief History
Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, I began my career at a mid-sized agency after graduating from Columbia College Chicago.
Working closely with Designers and Art Directors, and constantly asking questions to improve my creativity, I quickly gained the skills necessary to write, create and inspire.
With a love for words, an appreciation for clean design, and the mentoring from several amazing Copy and Creative Directors, I believe I have grown to be a versatile and strategic creative thinker.

I wouldn’t be the creative I am today if it wasn’t for Creative Cloud. I still have my copy of Photoshop 4.0.
When you work with corporate clients, you gotta know Office. Well, except for Excel. I do have my limits.

Freelance Creative Director with a background in web, video, print, podcast, in-store signing and event experiences. Available for assignments, big or small, including copy, design, video, audio, content strategy or large projects as creative lead.

Responsible for creating content that enhances corporate communications through smart visuals and clean design for Fortune 500 companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic and Lowe’s.

Maintained brand image for clients, including Amway North America, OfficeMax and Kmart. Work included web, email, video, event marketing, in-store signing, direct mail, catalog and special projects.

OfficeMax, Senior Manager, Advertising
Managed and critiqued the work of Designers, Copywriters, Proofreaders, Retouchers and Content Specialists. Following a strict style guide, I helped maintain the OfficeMax brand identity through design, copy and content for email, print and in-store signing.

Sterling Silver Creative, Creative Director
Responsible for writing all internal marketing materials, such as capability presentations and promotions, in addition to writing and reviewing the creative work for all assigned accounts.
2004 – 2008
Gaston Advertising, Senior Copywriter – Creative Director
Managed a small team of Copywriters and Proofreaders as Copy Director, while also working on new business projects. Proving I could handle a director’s role, I was promoted to Associate Creative Director on the Sears account, and then Creative Director on the Citigroup account.
1999 – 2004
Ambrosi & Associates, Jr. Copywriter – Sr. Copywriter
Worked closely with Designers and Art Directors for top retailers, including ULTA, Pepboys and Linens’n Things. Making it a point to learn all the applications necessary to write, create and inspire, I quickly worked my way up from Junior Copywriter to Senior Copywriter in just 4 years.
